Easy Hot Honey Recipe in 5 Minutes
Hot honey is one of the trendy toppings to put on everything: fried chicken, grilled fish, fruit, salsa, pizza, etc. The combination of sweet and spice make this such a fun flavor to layer into a dish.
Pro tip: make this once and try it on everything. I have poured it over Pineapple Salsa, Tropical Chicken, and Double Battered Fried Chicken.
This recipe is 2 ingredients and comes together in under 5 minutes. You owe it to yourself to give it a try. I was lucky enough to get my hands on some delicious Hungarian honey (thank you Bettina) so I knew I had to use it in this recipe!
Ingredients:
1/2 c of Honey
2 tsp Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning
Instructions:
Heat up a skillet on medium heat. Once the pan begins to warm, add the Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning. Allow the seasoning to toast for 1-2 minutes.
Next pour in the honey.
Stir the honey to incorporate all those spices.
Cook the honey for 3-4 minutes.
This allows the flavor from the spices to infuse into the honey. It is decadent!
Pour into a glass jar to cool. Please be careful, when honey is this hot, it can cause severe burns to the skin. Always pour into a heat safe glass jar, never plastic.
Look how flavorful this is!
Just look at the gloss…
Tell me what way you love to use hot honey!
Enjoy!
