French Onion Chicken & Potatoes

Bring out the crock pot, this French Onion Chicken & Potatoes will surely give you that homemade taste in just 3 hours. It is warm and salty like French Onion Soup, but it is hearty, because it is a rib sticking meat and potatoes kind of dish! The best part is, this is a perfect meal for 2!

 

You Will Need:

4 chicken tenders or 2 chicken breasts (boneless and skinless)

4 Yukon gold potatoes (or 2 Idaho potatoes)

1 TBSP Extra Virgin Olive Oil (divided in half)

1 packet of Lipton Beefy Onion Soup Mix

Black Pepper to taste

Crock pot

 

Dice up the potatoes into small cubes (like home fry sized) and place in the crock pot.

Next toss in 1/2 TBSP of extra virgin olive oil and toss the potatoes to coat.

Sprinkle in half of the beefy onion soup mix and toss the potatoes again.

Place the chicken right on top of the potatoes and sprinkle with black pepper.

Drizzle the remaining olive oil on top of the chicken then follow it with the remaining packet of the onion soup mix.

That is it! Simple, right?

Now the hard part….waiting! Place the crock pot on low for about 3-4 hours.

Keep in mind, everything in the crock pot takes on the same color as everything else, so this will have everything coated in a rich brown sauce.
