Steakhouse Mushroom Cream Sauce
I am a sauce girl…my steak needs to have a sauce, but not that pre-bottled steak sauce. A real sauce! Bleu cheese sauce, peppercorn sauce, Bearnaise sauce, mushroom sauce, wine sauce, etc! This is my steakhouse mushroom cream sauce! It will for sure add a touch of savory decadence to any dish!
You will need:
8oz sliced Mushrooms (which ever you prefer)
2 tsp Corn Starch
2 TBSP Butter
1 Cup Milk
1 tsp Spicy Brown Mustard
Salt and Pepper to taste (if following the Perfect Steakhouse Steak Recipe, use Himalayan Salt and 4 Colored Peppercorns).
Saute the mushrooms in the butter until tender.

Add the Spicy Brown Mustard and stir it in.

In a bowl, whisk together the corn starch and milk until smooth!
Then add the milk/corn starch mixture to the mushrooms in the skillet and stir.

You will need to stir until the sauce thickens. If you like a thicker sauce, you can always add more cornstarch mixed with a little bit of milk. If you like it thinner, add more milk.
Once the sauce comes together, it will thicken up and turn a golden brown color.

This is so savory and delicious! It works wonders on top of a grilled chicken breast and mashed potatoes but my favorite way to eat it is on top of The Perfect Steakhouse Steak!

Enjoy!
